NORTH READING — Community Planning Commission voted 5-0 to approve a Site Plan Review for All Sports Center at 97 Main Street. The facility would occupy approximately 31,000 square feet of the former Stop & Shop building for batting practice areas, private training spaces, and indoor seating, serving all ages from toddlers to college-aged participants. Representative Matthew Costa of Beals Associates and applicant Chris Gianatassio said the operation would employ three to seven staff members and celebrate two years in business in July.
The Commission discussed data centers and potential zoning approaches; Town Planner Danielle McKnight will consult with Town Counsel and regional agencies on restrictions or moratoriums.
