NORTH READING — The Fire Station Building Committee voted to move forward with testing two potential fire station locations. The committee approved a motion 7 to 2 to test-fit a portion of 97 Main Street combined with 50 Winter Street (pending owner response) and 86 Main Street. An earlier motion including all three sites without established owner contact had been withdrawn due to contract limitations on test-fits.
The committee agreed to send a letter to the 50 Winter Street owner and expects test-fit documents from Tecton by February 27, with subsequent meetings scheduled for March 3 and March 10.
