Select Board Seeks Volunteers for New Site Evaluation Committee

NORTH READING — The Select Board is asking residents to step forward for a newly formed Site Evaluation Committee, the town announced Wednesday, giving North Reading residents a fresh avenue to weigh in on decisions about municipal property.

TOWN HALL The Select Board put out a call Wednesday for volunteers to serve on a new Site Evaluation Committee, according to the town's News Flash announcement. The town did not detail the committee's charge or application deadline in the announcement; residents interested in serving can find application details on the town website.

COMING UP North Reading Police are advising residents of an eastbound detour on Route 62/Elm Street this Friday, July 17. Drivers who use that stretch during the morning or evening commute should expect to be rerouted for the day.

The week ahead also brings a cluster of town business: a Narcan training session, a Parks and Recreation Committee meeting, and a Select Board hybrid meeting are all scheduled for Monday, July 20, followed by a Board of Registrars meeting Tuesday, July 21. Details and access links for each are posted on the town's online calendar.
